Always Ready LLC has extensive experience assessing complex humanitarian disasters and designing, monitoring and evaluating projects that mount rapid, effective responses while setting the stage for sustainable recovery and reducing the risk of future disasters.

The company’s founder, Christopher Sacco, has lived and worked in Latin America and the Caribbean since 2000, providing professional support to NGOs, international organizations, and companies. Current and past clients include: Catholic Relief Services, Heifer International, the United Nations, the Sterno Group LLC, and Tetra Tech ARD, among many others.

Mr. Sacco co-founded Groundswell International and currently serves as its Director of Operations; he is a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) trainer; teaches for the Wilderness Medicine Institute of the National Outdoor Leadership School; studied Community Preparedness and Disaster Management at the Gillings School of Global Public Health of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; earned a Graduate Certificate in the Design, Management and Evaluation of Sustainable Development Projects from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences; and, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Spanish from Franklin & Marshall College.

  • Undertake rapid disaster assessments as well as baseline studies to prepare background information and data for the design of emergency projects.
  • Lead the project design process and the development of concept papers and proposals for disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and emergency response projects.
  • Work with organizations, communities, and individuals to design emergency plans that allow them to reduce the risk of disaster, prepare for disasters most likely to impact them, and build key capacities to respond in the event of a disaster.
  • Facilitate the development and testing of new products to improve emergency response and relief operations.
  • Conduct project evaluations, including data collection design, tools, and implementation, data analysis and qualitative assessments.
